About Terri

Welcome to a Little Corner of Terri's World

I'm so glad you're here.

For more than two decades, I have had the privilege of teaching women how to create with their hands and their hearts. What started as a few soldering workshops with friends has grown into a life filled with creativity, travel, friendship, and the joy of sharing art with others.

I am an internationally recognized artist, published author, retreat host, and teacher. For nearly 20 years, I've traveled throughout the United States and abroad, hauling soldering irons, torches, paintbrushes, and endless supplies to teach my unique style of mixed-media art and jewelry making.

My classes are known for being welcoming, encouraging, and filled with laughter. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, you'll find a place at my table. I believe creativity should be shared freely, and I teach from the heart, holding nothing back and encouraging every student to discover their own artistic voice.

Today, I continue to teach in-person workshops, host art retreats around the world, and offer online classes through the Terri Brush Academy, where students can learn from the comfort of their own homes at their own pace.

A Little About Me

Outside of the art world, I have been a hairdresser for over 40 years. It has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Many of my clients have been with me for decades and have become family.

I've been married to my husband Frank since 1986, and together we've built a beautiful life filled with family, creativity, old cars, travel adventures, and more projects than we can count.

I live in a small town in Washington State, where my home studio has become a gathering place for artists and friends from around the world.

My Story

Life hasn't always been easy, and like many people, my journey has included both joy and heartbreak.

Growing up, I learned resilience at an early age while navigating the challenges of mental illness within my family. Those experiences shaped who I am today. They taught me compassion, patience, and the importance of creating spaces where people feel safe, welcomed, and valued.

Art became my refuge, my healing place, and eventually my life's work.

After losing my mother, father, and mother-in-law within a short period of time, teaching became a gift that helped me heal. What began as sharing soldering techniques with a few friends soon grew into workshops across the country and a community of women eager to learn, create, and connect.

The Magic of Retreats

In 2008, I founded my first women's art retreat. Since then, thousands of women have joined me for creative adventures throughout the United States and around the world.

Many arrive knowing no one and leave with lifelong friendships, renewed confidence, and memories they'll treasure forever.

I truly believe women need time away from everyday responsibilities to create, dream, learn, laugh, and reconnect with themselves. Watching those transformations happen has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

Over the years, my work and events have been featured in publications including Mingle, Where Women Create, Jewelry Affaire, and other creative arts magazines.

Thank You

Whether you're here to join a workshop, attend a retreat, take an online class, or simply look around, thank you for stopping by.
